Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks for visiting Natural Way Pediatrics! If you have any questions we haven't answered, or need clarification on anything, please reach out to us

How does gut health relate to dermatology?

In the last 15 years, we've learned a lot about the human microbiome and its impact on our health. We now know how toxins and gut health can affect conditions like dermatology. Our team of experts is here to guide you through the latest research and help you make informed decisions about your health.

Does NWPD accept HSA/FSA cards?

Yes, we accept both HSA and FSA cards. It's best to check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage, but typically we are covered as a qualified medical expense.

What states do you see patients in?

We believe in increasing access to integrative dermatology services and are now currently accepting Telehealth patients in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico.

In-person visits are available in New Mexico.

How will you treat my child's skin condition?

Every patient is truly unique. After obtaining a thorough history we will provide testing options and treatment plans tailored to your child's specific needs. A stool and urine test (gut microbiome and organic acid compound) are monumental in detecting root causes of common skin ailments. This will be a starting ground to determine potential health detriments and culprits of chronic skin conditions.

Does NWPD accept insurance?

Much of what we do is not covered by commercial insurance at this time, we are happy to provide you with a 'super bill' to provide to your insurance for out of network claims.

Natural Way Pediatric Dermatology helped us tackle the root cause of my daughters’ eczema. NP Alaina conducted comprehensive testing to analyze what was going on in her body and developed a specific plan to help us tackle the root cause of her skin & gut issues. Within a few weeks of following the care plan, we noticed remarkable improvement (we never thought our daughter would be able to go swimming in chlorine pools without triggering an eczema flare—she now swims 2-3x a week with no flare!). Our family is extremely happy with the customized care we received. NP Alaina genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of her patients and was truly committed to helping our family find a solution to our daughters’ eczema. She is an absolute life saver.
